Diseases & Cures
Parasites, poisonings, wounds and their definitive cure methods.
Venom Wound
Snake, Brazilian Wandering Spider or Scorpion bite. Usually encountered in tall grass or tree trunks.
Blurred vision, severe fever, rapid dehydration, and loss of health over seconds.
Apply Tobacco Dressing immediately. Rest in a safe place, drink plenty of water and bone broth until venom is flushed out.
Laceration
Jaguar or Puma attacks, falling from high cliffs, or triggering traps.
Constant groaning sounds, unstoppable bleeding, and sudden health drop.
Wrap with Ash Dressing or Honey Dressing to close the open wound ASAP. Otherwise, it will turn into an infection.
Infection
Failing to bandage an open cut or worm hole, exposing it to mud or dirty water, causing inflammation.
Fever begins, health drops rapidly. A greenish-yellow pus is observed on the wound.
First place Maggots inside the wound to eat the dead tissue and pus. Then cover the cleaned wound with a clean Ash or Honey bandage.
Worm under the skin
Sleeping directly on wet mud or the jungle floor (dirt) without a proper bed.
A festering hole with movement on arm or leg. Causes incredibly fast sanity loss. Psychological breakdown begins.
Craft a bone needle by harvesting a bone. Pierce the worm in the wound to pull it out. Then cover the resulting hole with an Ash or Leaf bandage.
Parasites
Drinking unboiled puddle water or eating raw meat. Also, eating any food with dirty (muddy) hands directly causes parasites.
Macronutrients drain rapidly. Even if you eat abundantly, the character suffers from insatiable hunger.
Cure it by eating Cup Mushrooms, Blue Mushrooms, or the Guanabana (Soursop) fruit.
Food Poisoning
Eating spoiled food, touching poisonous frogs, or trying the wrong mushrooms.
Character complains of nausea and vomits. Vomiting causes a massive loss of hydration and calories.
Eat Charcoal from a campfire or consume Water Lily flowers floating on ponds to settle your stomach. Drink plenty of safe water.
Leeches
Walking in the jungle, especially in muddy areas or near water.
Health drains very slowly and sanity drops. Visible black leeches attached to the body.
Enter body inspect mode and drag the leeches off one by one. No bandages required.
Insanity
Eating raw meat, drinking dirty water, having worms/leeches, lack of sleep, or being chased by natives.
Character starts talking to themselves, hears whispers, and hallucinatory natives begin to attack.
Rest by the fire, eat cooked nutritious meals, sleep, and remove all parasites/leeches from the body.
Rash
Accidentally hitting or standing too close to ant hills or bee hives.
Red bumps appear on limbs. Sanity drops slowly.
Use a Lily Dressing or wait a few hours; it will heal on its own.
Fever
Venomous bites, infected wounds, or certain spoiled foods.
Body temperature rises, extreme thirst, and the character gets exhausted quickly.
Drink plenty of water and rest. Consuming Bone Soup or Quassia Amara flowers helps lower fever quickly.
Dirt
Rolling in mud, crossing rivers, or not washing for a long time.
Character's hands and arms are covered in mud. Eating food while dirty guarantees parasites.
Clean yourself by using the "Wash" option in any river, pond, or under the rain.
Food Allergy
Trying certain unknown exotic fruits or mushrooms for the first time.
Minor health loss and temporary nausea.
Resting and drinking water is enough. Symptoms disappear after a short time.
